Taking Part in Food Angel Program to Reduce Food Waste

For our first physical volunteering activity in 2022, 22 colleagues from Wyeth Nutrition Hong Kong attended a half-day program at Food Angel where colleagues helped to prepare cook-chill meal boxes for the underprivileged community and understand ways of reducing the amount of food wastage.

Food Angel rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. Following strict safety protocols, the rescued food items will then be prepared as nutritious meals in Food Angel’s central kitchen and be redistributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong.

We will continue to explore different ways to serve and support our community.
